If something is a priority, we put it first on our list. 1 Corinthians 1:30 says that “Christ is the wisdom of God.” If we know Christ as our personal Savior, we have the wisdom of God within us.
-Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” There are plenty of people in this town and in this nation and in this world that have no fear of God, whatsoever. What does that tells us about their wisdom?
-The word Fear means reverence, awe, and respect. The book of Hebrews says that “we can boldly approach the throne of grace and find mercy and help in our time of need.” That does not sound as if we have to cower down before God.
-The people who do not fear God are called foolish in this book. This does not mean they do not have an education. They may have a PhD and still be called a fool by God. Someone has said “All knowledge apart from God is spiritual ignorance.”
-Education is important. I believe in it. I wanted my children to get as much of it as they could. However, the premium is on having the wisdom that comes from heaven.
-To fear the Lord is to know the Lord. Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. One cannot understand spiritual things until he knows Christ.
-Jesus said to Nicodemus, “Unless one is born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
-A lost man has no spiritual discernment. “The natural man does not understand the things of the Spirit of God.”
-Have you made knowing Christ, the wisdom of God, the priority of your life?
